Meet the Team

All of the staff at A2C are valued for their individual skills, and ability that they bring to the team. Not all the staff are featured below, but that does not mean that they are not valued, as without them A2C wouldn't function.

A2C thrives on its staff and what they bring as a collective team. 

Rod Neale

CEO and Stakeholder

In 1990, Rod was doing work at a distribution warehouse that had just lost a contract with a printer manufacturer. The company had left 10 pallets of stock behind which was destined to be scrapped. Seeing an opportunity Rod paid £100 for the 10 pallets. Having no computer knowledge at all, he turned the £100 investment into £5000 and the light was ignited for the company to follow.

Today, Rod runs his company with the same attitude as it first started, and that is the harder you work the luckier you become, and there is no replacement for solid commitment to a goal. What is more important to him, is the fact that he has already achieved far more than he could have dreamed, and along the way gained good admiration from his peers and the people he respects.

Simon De Gruchy

Director of Operations and Stakeholder

Simon joined the company in 2004, in Business Development, and has held many major roles during the company's growth. The sign of that skill spread came in 2013, when Simon was made Operations Director, with the entire UK office operations under his direct control.

In 2005 Simon was solely responsible for gaining the company's ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation,  and has maintained the company's direction to remain compliant, as well as all parts of the WEEE directives. Simon's work ethic and attention to detail, as well as his man management skills, make him a perfect part of the A2C management team. His skill in managing the detail within operations, is what makes all the rest possible.

Farooq Nawab (Bilal)

Director

Without Bilal, the UAE operation would not have started, and would not be running as it is today. Bilal was instrumental in building the new facility, which is continuously growing and developing. His work effort and entrepreneurial attitude, have allowed growth of the UAE operations, and he is now a key influencer in the global operation. On the occasions he enjoys some downtime, his sporting prowess and competitive nature see him batting and bowling in the cricket team, and gracing the badminton courts.

Lawrence Best

Sales Director

In 2007, Lawrence was brought into A2C with a view to absorbing everything about how the company works. Lawrence already had the right mentality, and skills for the business having spent time in the City of London on a trading floor, and so it was not long before Lawrence was the main driver behind A2C’s vast sales channel.

Lawrence's customers know that while he is at heart a salesperson, he also carries forward the integrity of the way A2C does business, and as such he walks the line between achieving maximum sales for the company and being a good friend and partner to somebody buying the company's stock.

He became Sales Director in 2013, and is in the process of expanding the company's sales channels, to be able to absorb the ever increasing amount of stock arriving. He regularly works a 14 hour day, and sees the growth of A2C as a personal challenge and likes the fact that he has found a place to work that no longer feels like he is actually going to work.

Sean Taylor

Financial Director and Stakeholder

Sean began his career working for several firms of Chartered Accountants, primarily in accounts and audit, but also covering areas of payroll, VAT and tax. Armed with this experience and knowledge, Sean easily adjusted into the role of a company accountant. Sean joined A2C in 2009, with the responsibility of overseeing all financial aspects of the company.

In a company sometimes focussed and driven by "the deal", Sean is often the voice of logic and reason, and can be relied upon to drill down to the bare facts - to prove or disprove the financial implications of "the deal".

Sue Neale

Company Secretary and Stakeholder

Behind every good man there is an even greater woman. The rudder through all the early days, when any company is looking for traction. The thankless task of having to be all things, to all people, all of the time.

Drive the fork-lift, do the accounts, make a good impression to these people, help pack these boxes, be the receptionist, the PA, the 'Mother Hen' to staff and finally always be strong for the company during the early days.

Her personality is what most suppliers and customers remember. Sue has the ability to cut to the chase and keep it real and will be the most unpretentious person you ever have the privilege to meet, while at the same time will charm you with her calm, class and common sense.

Justin had been selling stock to A2C for many years, and through that had gained a high experience in exactly what stock was needed for all the A2C sales channels. When the situation arose at A2C to need somebody working on procurement within the US, both sides knew it was the right choice to make.

His role is to bring opportunities and deals to the A2C table, and to work directly with all A2C locations - to develop the much needed relationships that will lead to success.

Accompanying Bilal in the early days, Hanif started when we were based in a small warehouse in north Ras al Khaimah. Here he honed his skills as a shop trader, helping build himself up to be the Sales Manager, and one of the top revenue earners for UAE operations. He has a natural charm and permanent infectious smile.

Affectionally know as 'The Colonel' stemming from his military roots, Shahzad has been tasked with the commanding role of overseeing facilities and staff requirements. His tireless attitude and attention to detail, reflect back onto the company and the staff. When not on duty he captains one of the cricket teams, and graces himself effortlessly on the badminton court - although secretly his love is pure tennis.

Audrius has been with A2C since January 2009, starting as a Warehouse Operative and now occupying the role of Warehouse & Transport Manager. He is responsible for all movements of stock in and out of the A2C UK warehouse, as well as liaising with the UAE & US locations on other logistical matters. 
Audrius has developed the skills during his tenure at A2C, to now have a major voice to ensure that what has been promised by the sales department is honoured and delivered by the business.

Sebastian joined the company as a Warehouse Operative when we were located in our small warehouse in Liss. It soon became apparent that his enthusiasm and work ethic, afforded him the opportunity to take over the role of Warehouse Manager during a transition stage in the company. A position that proved his value to the business.

He has since taken a further step up to becoming an assistant in the sales department, with a focus on the European markets.

Max started at A2C in January 2015 as Office Junior, where he got involved in everything from coffee to accounts, and everything in between. 3 years on, he has become the key link between finance and sales, customers and suppliers.

Growing into a true asset to the company, Max has forged a pivotal position for himself that now means he has no idea where the kettle is!

Sue Neale being rather partial to shopping, noticed Connor in Ted Baker where he was the Store Manager at their Portsmouth branch and he was employed 4 weeks later.

He is on the way to being a true asset to the A2C sales channel and is involved in UK and European sales of Laptops, Desktops, and Monitors.

Matt began the relationship with A2C as an external provider of marketing, and soon brought to the table his flair and drive for delivering a quality product. Many months later we convinced Matt to bring that flair to the company directly, and A2C’s first marketing employee arrived soon thereafter.

Since arriving, Matt’s desk has been overloaded with with challenges and ideas to allow the company’s vision to be delivered on time and in style. All the directions of the business now have a face and a story that can be developed and told to anyone we need to, thanks to Matt.
